I Need to Know More......

Arriving

When booking, a few days before arrival, please send an email to thechapelhastings@gmail.com or text a message to the number indicated above to advise about your approximate arrival time. This is to ensure that someone will be present to meet and greet you and to check you into your suite. If you fail to do this, this may result in a delay in accommodating you. Your host Michael will show you around and will advise you of how things work, location, etc. Feel free to ask any questions and if you need suggestions and recommendations, Michael is your man!

Arrival Times/Departure Times

The arrival time is between 1600 and 2000 hours however if you need to get here earlier or later, this is not a problem as long as you advise your hosts in advance so that there is somebody here to welcome you and to show you around your space. If your room is not ready when you get here, then it is possible to leave your bags and check in later. As far as your departure time, we ask you to leave by midday. Just drop the keys round when you are ready to go. If you wish to leave your bags with us, check out and bring your bags to the main entrance where they will be stored until you are ready to pick them up.

When Checking In

Your host Michael will show you around your space and any questions please ask him.  You will be provided with your own key to come and go as you please.

Breakfast in the Morning

Breakfast is provided, but it is not served. A range of goodies is provided for you to enjoy breakfast in the morning. You will also find tea and coffee, milk, and sugar. In the morning a basket is delivered with hot bread and other items and all you need to do is to send a text about 10 minutes before so that it can all be prepared and warmed up for you.   Weather permitting, why not enjoy breakfast in the courtyard.  All your needs can be catered for, however, "breakfast" is purely continental, with cheese and a small selection of cold meats, together with bread, croissants and a selection of jams, fruit, and yogurt.  If you have any allergies or specific requirements, just let your hosts know in advance, and everything possible will be done to accommodate your needs.  We provide sparkling water which you will find in your minifridge however if still water is required, do let us know.

Facilities

Soap, towels, and bathrobes are available for you.  A small hairdryer can be found in your bathroom cupboard.  If you need an iron and an ironing board please ask as this can be provided. Your bedroom has a standard television and there is no air conditioning in the room, however, a large fan can be provided on request.  Guests have access to the small courtyard which unfortunately does not have a view, but is small and intimate and ideal for breakfast and a glass of wine in the evening.  The rest of the property is inhabited by the owners who live on-site.

Parking

There are very few free public parking spaces located outside the Chapel but if these are available, you will be advised accordingly. Generally, visitor's parking permits can be provided allowing you ‘on-street’ parking behind the chapel, but this too will be subject to availability when you arrive as it can get quite congested especially during the weekends.  Visitor's parking permits are required for on-street parking between the hours of 9 am to 8 pm (11 hours) seven days a week. We can provide you with these permits at an extra cost. Please ask if you require these permits so that your hosts can ensure that they are available for your arrival. There are far more economical options available in the main public car park close to the beach, and there is also additional free street parking five hundred metres or so inland away from the Old Town.  Please be advised that a parking space can never be guaranteed.

Rooms

The property only has 1 room, so guests will not be sharing facilities with other guests. The accommodation is completely private.

Your Bed

The bed you will be sleeping in is a French bed (about 140 cms wide). What this means is that the bed is slightly smaller than a queen-size bed.

Special Requests

Please let your hosts know in advance if you have any special requests (dietary for example). Your hosts will be happy to arrange a bottle of fizz, fresh flowers, or chocolates for your arrival. Picnic hampers, theatre tickets, dinner reservations can be organised for you if required.  If you fancy a day by the sea with a full panoramic seaside view, ask about our beach hut, which is available to rent during the summer periods.

Payments

Payment unless otherwise stated is in cash.
